This is still one of my favorite pictures of my boys. But somehow my first baby went from this little boy to turning 16 in no time at all. 16. I still am having a hard time wrapping my brain around that fact. How did my kids get so old so quickly?

Kayden is such a good good kid though. He is always so willing to step and help me with anything. He always makes sure he gives hugs to all of us every night. (Well Carter runs away from him, but he still tries and it only makes it all the more fun getting Carter worked up about it.) He very rarely complains and is so happy every night and genuinely thankful for me cooking him dinner. Like most teenage boys, he really appreciates food.
His birthday was pretty low key. His birthday fell on fast Sunday so he was a little bummed about not getting to enjoy a birthday breakfast and such, but as usual took it in stride. We did take him out the night before on his birthday date. He chose to have salmon at B.J.'s and some Nielson's frozen custard to finish the night.
On Sunday, we opened presents and enjoyed his choice of doughnuts with ice cream.
He got some new art supplies, a new flash drive, some cash, and his own stash of snacks.
