Two weekends ago we had quite an emotional weekend. My niece was getting married so we had planned on a trip to Utah for that, but less than a week before, Corey's grandpa Huntsman passed away. He was such wonderful man. It took us all by a bit of a surprise. He was almost a 104 years old and we thought he might be around forever. I don't have a lot of pictures of him, but this one was taken a few years ago when we attended his 100th birthday party. (And oh man, my kids have grown up a lot since then). We left for Utah a day earlier than planned to attend his funeral and while it's always emotional, it was a good service and it's always nice to gather with family.
The next day was my niece Ashley's wedding. We were able to attend the temple and their luncheon. (it was emotional there too, Grandpa Huntsman was a sealer and was going to perform the ceremony, he was missed a lot that day). Later that night we had a good time at her reception.
Ashley and Scott
Brendan and Hailey were asked to serve and they took their job very seriously. Hailey still keeps telling me that she was the best waitress there. (Somehow not a single one of my pictures of her serving turned out so we just have to take her word for it).
Emery supervised it all.
Carter had to steal my cute niece, Avery, and get some time in holding a baby.
Another cute niece.
More cute nieces, playing bridesmaids for the night.
Corey and Carter supervised from the sidelines
Kayden helped there too.
Cute Grandma and Grandpa
Carter did leave the sidelines long enough to dance.
Hailey has a couple of different dance partners. Her uncle Jeremy and cousin Jason.
This is my favorite picture of the night. Ashley's new Grandma running in to catch the bouquet.
The best part of serving everyone dessert is serving yourself some. Although I'm pretty sure this wasn't his first root beer float.
