At our school there is a lacrosse team. Brendan is old enough to play with them this year and he jumped at the chance. This is totally new territory for us. I know nothing about the sport. Nothing. From what I can tell, there is a lot of running, and hitting, and then more running. And it all moves really fast. The ball is so tiny it's hard to keep track with what's going on. But he was determined he wanted to try.
This is actually the off season, so the team just played scrimmages against each other for several weeks and ended the with a bowl game. It was trial by fire for him. He was just thrown in and learned by playing. He really had a great time though. The real season starts back up in January and we are looking forward to it. Until then we'll have to fill our time with basketball. Both he and Carter are playing on school teams and it's going to be a lot of fun. That's a sport I at least understand.
