Flight of the Bumblebee

Last night our ward had our Trunk-or-Treat. It was a lot of fun; for us it's really our big Halloween celebration since we don't do a lot of real trick-or-treating. The kids get to play games and see all of their friends in the ward. Of course, everybody was really excited to get dressed up. Hailey had been really excited until I went to put the costume on and then she didn't want to have anything to do with it. I had to really convince her to put it on. Then she decided she really liked it and I couldn't even get her to hold still for a picture.

IF!!!

It's Corey's Birthday-he is very hard to buy for!! He really prefers that I don't spend any money on him so I always try to keep it simple. However, there are several things that would be fun to get for him. So this is my wish list of things I would love give him if I could...

1.

Somehow become independently wealthy then he would never have to work for anyone else again and would have time to enjoy these things below.

2.

Corey would love to be a hermit and live out in the middle of nowhere; away from everybody. But since I don't feel the same, maybe this could be good compromise and a nice place to get away once in awhile.

3.

Maybe one of these to enjoy while at the place above.

4.

A vacation to somewhere like this!

5.

Some more of these to enjoy...

...someplace like this.

6.

Something comfy to relax in

Or maybe just a little of this...

...because according to him, he is really old and will probably drop dead at any minute!
But for now he will just have to make due and be happy to know that this was made just for him and it didn't cost him any money.
Happy Birthday Corey!!

Finally some new pictures

I actually had these pictures done a little while ago, but I just was slow getting them picked up-I think they turned out really good.( The individual shots of the kids-on the side bar are also new).

The Two Faces of Carter

Carter came up with this "two face" costume the other day; I really thought it was so ironic because I have said several times that he has two personalities. Obviously, I love him to death, but he can be so challenging. He adds a lot of drama to our house. When he is happy, things are good, but if he is mad- watch out! He is very hot and cold; there is no inbetween with him.
Lately, when he has been playing the Wii he has been getting very frustrated because the further he goes into the games the harder they get. He does not handle his frustration very well (to say the least). So he started to throw a fit while he was playing, so I told he would have to get off. He ignored me, so I made him get off and took away his privlegdes. Well, this started a full on melt down. Kicking, screaming, the whole works. I sent up to his room and told him he couldn't play the Wii for the rest of the week. That went over like a ton of bricks. He threw a fit the whole way to his room. I followed a few minutes later only to find that he had kicked a hole in the wall at the top of the stairs. At that time, I figured it was best that Carter not show either of his faces for awhile if he wanted to continue living. Seriously, I don't get it. Please tell me that someday he will outgrow his tantrums. I think he knew he was toast and has been really good since. He's learned a little about wall repair and how much it costs. So when he asks about his allowance, I will just show him to the wall. Somedays you just gotta love being a mom!

SO Much Help!

Carter sometimes will take his homework up to his room and squish himself between his wall and dresser. He say's that it's easier for him to concentrate-probably true except when your sister follows you with her notebook and pencil and squishes herself in the corner too. Then corner gets crowed pretty quick.

Hailey is also very helpful with the housework. Including emptying the newly organized tupperware cupboard. (Yes, the whole cupboard)!

I also had all the laundy folded and put away, except for the pairs of socks that just needed to be sorted for each kid. They were just laying on the bed and when I went to put them away they were unfolded and half of them were missing. I seriously looked for them all day. I was so frustrated. Finally the mystery was solved when I caught Hailey in the act of "helping."

Apparently, clean socks belong in the oven of the toy kitchen. Thanks Hailey, for all your help!
