Our weekend was pretty low key. We stayed home for most of it. It was so hot we didn't want to venture outdoors for long. The kids dealt with the heat by doing some more of this...
...we lit off a few of these. There were so many fireworks going off all around us we had quite a show without even leaving our front yard.
Emery was not a big fan. As soon as the first firework went off she hightailed it back inside the house. I finally convinced her to watch from the van. Toward the end of the night I eventually coaxed her back out and she was saying "wow" every time a firework went off overhead.
Another fun weekend spent as a family. We had a good time, although I do without the heat.
