Girls Weekend

Once a year, my sister comes to visit and we take off for the weekend to St. George to attend a scrapbooking get together. We have done this for the past four years and it is so nice to get away. Emery did tag along for the ride, but she was so amazingly good. I was not at all productive in my scrapbooking and since I already mentioned that Emery was super good, I can't even blame it on her. But we were able to see my Grandma and she got in some good Emery love. My sister introduced me to Winger's asphalt pie. Man, that is good, and I am just glad we don't have a Winger's here. Even Emery got in on a little of that action. We did a little shopping, spent too much, stayed up way too late, ate way too much, and it went by way too quick. Now I need a weekend to recover from everything that we did way too much of.

Weekend Visit

My parents were able to come spend the weekend with us. My kids look forward to their visits, so much that I can't tell them too far in advance or they go crazy waiting for the day to come. My dad arrived Thursday afternoon. My mom was supposed to come that night.  Her luggage made it here, but she did not. To make a long story short, she was doing a trade show in Texas and got stuck there until Friday night. I felt bad her visit was cut short. There just doesn't seem to be enough time when they come, Emery starting getting sick while they were here too, so we didn't go too many places or get much done. That always seem to be the case though.  We had a good time with them, but you will just have to take my word for it that my older boys enjoyed their weekend too; they always disappear when the camera is out.
(a lot of wrestling, a little napping, and reading of Valentine cards)

I had to add this pictures of Hailey. She really does love my Dad, or "Papa". She pretty much takes him hostage every visit. But when they leave she insists on watching out the window and will stay there until they are completely out of sight.

Party Planner

You're invited to the event of the year...

Your hostess

Amazing decorations

Now I have heard of edible arrangements, but wearable decor...brilliant!

Just be careful not to get in her way or you might run the risk of becoming part of the decor

Anybody who is anybody will be attending, here is just a glimpse of some of the other guests

Wow, I am just amazed. I just love her parties. I know you are just as excited as I am. However, the cleanup, refolding all my kitchen linens, not as exciting.

$10 difference

I have always been a fan of Target. When I have been stuck in the house, had a bad day, or just have a little time to kill, Target is the rememdy for it all. I love to go there puruse all the isles, thinking about  what I could do with everything I find and, of course, check all the clearance racks.

My kids bathroom has needed a shower curtain since we moved in. I decorated it right away except for that. I just have never found one I wanted to buy. It was never really a big deal, just one of those things that I figured when I happened to see one I would get it. Target took care of that need. And for only $10. Now I just don't know how long I will be able to resist the matching rugs and towels. I can  already imagine how they will look.
And it matches so well with the pictures already on the wall. What a shock, they came from Target as well.
