Finally settling in

We made our move across town about a month ago, we are settling in and adjusting to our new surroundings. The computer however, wasn't set up until last week and blogging, to me, without pictures is just not as fun. So now that we are up and running, I've got a lot to catch up on.

On moving day, everything was packed and ready to go. Packing and unpacking is such an exhausting process. These pictures make me shudder just looking at them. It's just such a process getting it all done.

We decided to hire a moving company this time around. In the time we lived in our house, we had acquired a lot more furniture than we had before and the majority of it was upstairs. Including our washer and dryer. We knew that it would require a lot of man power and time. The company was able to accomplish it much quicker than we would have been able to on our own. In the end though, I would hire a moving company again, but just not this one. That is another story.

We moved and actually got set up here pretty quickly, but a lot of time was spent running back to our other house to get things ready for the renter. Repairs made, house cleaned top to bottom, paint touched up, carpets cleaned, everything. We were so busy and exhausted for a couple of weeks getting everything together, not much else got done. 

 

But here is the new house for now. We are just renting and that is kind of a different experience for us.We haven't been renters in a long time and we have been spoiled. Pretty much everything we've ever lived in has been new. So living in something that someone else lived in feels a little foreign to us. But the house is turning out to be a good fit for us. 

I still don't have any pictures of the upstairs because it's pretty boring as far as decorating is concerned. I really am trying to not hang up much. The kids are loving that they have bigger rooms and are not so crowded in them. We actually have the same number of bedrooms, but don't have our loft anymore so that's been missed as our toy room. But we love having a three car garage though and lots of  storage space throughout the house too.
